Apparently George Clooney has gone public with his latest lady friend and while we think very few women worthy to assume this post we covet for ourselves, we do love that she’s one of us! And why wouldn’t our Lake Como loving leading man chose a local lady to be his arm candy? Especially when his options include the gorgeous Elisabetta Canalis. It seems her only Clooney-less outings have been some shopping and a hair cut in Milan – sounds like a Gomatta to us! When not cruising around with George she hosts TRL on Italy’s MTV. He’s currently showing her off at the Venice Film Festival. We’ll be watching closely to see how this develops…

Who knew The CW would become the most fashionable network on TV? Gossip Girl gave it a serious style boost, and it seems with the addition of the new model-centric show The Beautiful Life, there will be even more pretty young things to dress up in designer duds. But it is not just the designer labels The CW is showing off these days, it is the designers themselves. Zac Posen pops up in the premiere and Matthew Williamson, Erin Featherston and Max Azria will all follow suit later in the season. Our hero Nina Garcia has filmed for the show as well. But don’t worry; Gossip Girl isn't being left out of the fun. Tory Burch and Marchesa’s Georgina Chapman will both be making an appearance in the premiere. Woohoo! We love it! High fashion’s famous faces deserve sometime in the spotlight.

We are big fans of Matthew Williamson over here. He churns out bright, attention grabbing pieces that pair well with the bold Gomatta attitude and of course, since we love a deal here at GG we absolutely adored his collection for H&M. Check out this great interview with him from The Observer. He hints that his upcoming collection is a little more polished but don’t expect his signature boho look to be out the window. He explains that it is just a little sharper, describing his runway girls saying, “you won't necessarily see her on the beach, although she might be poolside.” Alright Matthew, that sounds just fine. Also how fun does his little cottage look? We’d love to be invited over for tea…

We realize whining about the weather in Southern California generates no sympathy as 99% of the time it is perfect here in sunny LA, but for the past week or so it has been unbearably hot and it is getting tough to put together outfits that have that signature Gomatta flair but won’t have us melting as soon as we step outside. We have been pumped about the Where the Wild Things Are movie for awhile now. With Spike Jonzes directing we are sure our favorite childhood book will look amazing on the big screen. And we were thrilled to hear that Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ front woman Karen O would be contributing songs to the soundtrack – check out the first single All is Love here. BUT we were even more excited to learn that Jonzes has also collaborated on a jewelry line to help promote the film – brilliant! Clearly Spike knows the way to a Gomatta’s heart. He’s working with designer Pamela Love for the line that will available at ultra cool boutique Opening Ceremony. Check out W’s interview with Spike to see how the collaboration came about and take a look at the feathered cuff and claw necklace below.

The maternity challenge was definitely a curveball, and the designers gave it a good shot, we found only one design to be truly noteworthy – at least 3 of the designers had their models in leggings – come on! Sadly, our pick was not the judges’ pick. While we love the beautiful waistline detailing on Shirin’s design (above right) we loved absolutely everything about Althea’s stunning gown (above left). It would be amazing even if not designed for pregnant women. We want it! Seriously, Althea, get that baby in stores and we’ll be first in line. What do you think? Do you agree with the Gomattas or the judges?

We want to love Gap for their iconic American appeal but in recent years it seemed like they had lost their focus. We didn’t find the basics we had once relied on them for but they weren’t on top of the trends either. Luckily, they are headed in the right direction now. With a complete revamp of their denim designs, Gap is bringing some style back to the brand. The new 1969 line of jeans fits like a dream and at $70, they may have you rethinking your designer denim obsession. There are just as many options for the men as the women so you might want to pick up a pair for your man and toss those washed out baggies he bought in the mid-90s.
If you’re in the LA area, check out the cute little pop up shop on Robertson. It has all the denim styles but a small selection of tops chosen to compliment your hot new jeans.

Needless to say we love champagne. And while our favorite varieties are usually pink, we’re willing to make a switch to green with the new POP Earth champagne from Pommery. It's made with sustainable grapes and comes is a lighter weight (less energy need to ship it) recycled glass bottle with the label printed on recycled paper. So now you can drink away with only Nonna’s disapproving looks to cause you guilt. Makes a great hostess gift for all your eco-friendly friends.
I guess that there is no reason to accomplish the research essay by your own! I think, that would be better to buy the term paper format at sociology essay writing service, because it saves time and money.

Our latest fashion crush here at Gomatta Girls is Emma Watson. She just always seems to nail it even though she’s at that tricky age where it is nearly impossible to look cute and trendy with out someone claiming you look too grown up or your dress it too revealing or you look like you are going to prom. She should write a book on how to gracefully transition from child star to hip young woman and distribute in around the Disney lot. And we love her in the new Burberry campaign (above).
