We know. You love our daily emails so much you’ve unsubscribed from all others in order to make sure nothing distracts you from our amazing sales. We of course not only understand, but completely encourage this behavior. However, Rachel Zoe’s daily newsletter (creatively titled The Zoe Report) launches tomorrow and since we can’t resist signing up, we don’t think you should either. It’s hard to imagine how her complete insanity will translate over email. We fear her pearls of wisdom might not be the same when not accompanied by Brad’s tears. Hopefully we’re wrong. Gomattas know mascara. We haven’t been without it since the seventh grade and we usually have a least 3 tubes on us at all times, just in case. We may not be able to provide a pen or a piece of gum in a pinch, but mascara we have, always. Waterproof? Lengthening? Blue? We’ve got them all. So yes, we consider ourselves experts in the mascara field. And yet, we find ourselves baffled by the recent onslaught of vibrating mascaras. Why on earth would you want a small, pointy object that is just millimeters from your eye to vibrate? This is a question we cannot answer. Apparently Lancome and Maybelline feel they can. Both brands claim 7000 oscillations per second. At least they got that right; I mean 5000 would be far too few… Someone please try these, and if you can still see, drop us a note to let us know if it’s all hype or a life (and face) changing breakthrough we should not be without.

She may not be considered an “It’ girl, but Vena Cava’s Lisa Mayock is someone we’ve long been a little in love with. When we first learned of Vena Cava a few years ago, we right away rushed out and snagged several dresses that we love to this day! After Vena Cava’s impressive GAP collaboration (remember how amazing both VC designers looked in the ads?), Lisa’s apartment make-over, she had time to sit down with Refinery29. We learned that she has a kick-ass closet, describes her style as “Confuse and Amuse”, and that her boyfriend owns a mesh cardigan, which she sometimes borrows apparently.

Gwyneth Paltrow showed up at the “Champions of Hope” benefit gala at New York City’s Tribeca Rooftop this past Wednesday, and glittered like no other! We covet that amazing Preen dress, (we aren’t the only ones), and she’s got us a tad jealous over those sexy legs. Just like any self-respecting “It” girl would, Alexa Chung ran out and scored herself a fashion campaign for DKNY no less! Glad to see her star just keeps on rising. The campaign was shot by none other than The Sartorialist, Scott Schuman.
Alexa’s look is a little edgier than her usual self, but hey – she looks fab!

And never let go. We are huge fans of the day time clutch. We’ve seen the ease with which Uncle Sal and Fat Tony can make an entire truck of purses get ‘lost,’ so we always keep a close eye on our own. A clutch makes this easy, all your belonging firmly in hand at all times. But when we encounter dreadful rush hour crowds on the subway or swarms of insane women at sample sales we fear we may lose our grip and send our Blackberry and keys flying. Alexander McQueen apparently shares out paranoia as he has recently come out with this genius Faithfull clutch (inspired by Marianne Faithful who rocked those to die for bangs back in the day) that comes with an attached glove so you can be sure your bag will never escape your grip. Brilliant and only made better by the fact the glove is of course a fingerless biker style – classic McQueen. Get it here.

You may remember our recent post on the HOT Wrangler ads shot by Ryan McGinley. Well, it seems he is still roaming around in the woods with his camera, only this time its for Stella McCartney and he’s brought some furry friends along. Or at least they would be furry if they were real… instead the campaign features the cartoon cast of Bambi. Check out some shot from the campaign below.

Hooray! One of our (and really everyone’s) fave street fashion photographers is finally coming out with a book. The Sartorialist is AMAZING and inspires us everyday. We can’t wait to have this massive 500 page book in our hot little hands. September is the publishing date for now. Until the we will continue to check the website daily.
